So, I'm taking another mental health day off from work today. Just trying to get things in my life in some sort of order. Already did some financial stuff this morning. I took a withdrawl from my 401k (yes, I know, a bad thing to do. But, it's done) and as soon as the check clears my account, I'm going to pay off my car loan. So, THAT'S a good thing. Then, I opened a Discover account with a great deal on balance transfers through August 2007. When I called to activate my card this morning, I did a large balance transfer from another card. So, saving some finance charges is another good thing. Since B and I became homeowners in June, finances truly have a life of their own. Thank god for our excellent credit, though, so we got locked into a great mortgage rate.
Other than money stuff, I want to start preparing for my job interview. It's December 7th, but I want to be ready. I found some information online yesterday about the general job duties for the specific title I'm interviewing for. Since it's a state job, I found some basic info on a state government site. It's not much, but it'll help nonetheless.
B told me to enjoy my day off. She said, "Go to the bookstore. Go to a cafe." Of course, those are all magic words to my ears. Still don't know what I'll end up doing. Hmmm...coffee and books and Moleskines and fountain pens. Drool.
